Master Abdul Qudoos Sahib (Shaheed)
(1968 – 2012)
On 30 March 2012 a well-known and much loved Ahmadi Muslim, Mr Master Abdul Qudoos Ahmad (43), died after succumbing to injuries inflicted during brutal torture by local police in Rabwah, Pakistan. He was a well known government school teacher in education department. Mr Master Abdul Qudoos Ahmad was the President (Sadr Halqa) of the Nusrat Abad chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Rabwah.

Mr. Abdul Qudoos was born in 1968. His father is Mr. Mian Mubarak Ahmad, who now lives in Holland. He completed his higher secondary school and later earned a certificate in Primary Teaching, before joining Government service as a primary school teacher twenty (20) years ago. Along with his work, Mr. Abdul Qudoos continued his studies and had appeared in the University examination. He was awaiting results when he succumbed to wounds as a result of brutalpolice torture on March 30, 2012. He was teaching at the Government Primary School, Darul Sadr North, Rabwah, District Chiniot, at the time of his death. Mr. Abdul Qudoos was fondly known as ‘Master Qudoos’ by his friends, co-workers, and students.
Master Abdul Qudoos was a third-generation Ahmadi. His grand-parents, Mr. Mian Ahmad Yar and Mrs. Mehtab Bibi, joined the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, during the lifetime of the founder of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas. Thus, both of them had the honour of being companions of the HadhratMirzaGhulamAhmadas. They lived in Feroz Wala, a town of District Gujranwala. Master Abdul Qudoos married daughter of Master Basharat Ahmad, of Gujranwala, in 1997, and they have four children – three sons and a daughter. His youngest child is aged 4 years and oldest is 14 years old.
Master Qudoos has been a devout Ahmadi since childhood and actively participated in voluntary activities of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam with great devotion and zeal. Most of these activities involved service and welfare of fellow citizens. At the time of his death, he was serving as the President of the Ahmadiyya Community of Nusrat Abad, a locality of Rabwah.
He was a very active sportsman and an excellent player of Kabbadi, rowing, field hockey, football and cricket. He was also an excellent hunter who used to go on hunting campaigns regularly. Fishing was another hobby he used to enjoy.
Master Qudoos was also a very skilled diver. Since, Rabwah is located near the Chenab River and every year there are many deaths due to drowning during the summer months. He would always volunteer his services to search for dead bodies of the victims of drowning accidents from last many years.
Indeed, a very noble and innocent man was lost due to the ruthless brutality of local Rabwah Police.
